Our history
History
Rolf Georg and Karl Dengler founded DC DruckChemie in 1971 in the Swabian town of Ammerbuch, near Stuttgart, with eight products, two employees and one lorry.
The first German branch opened in Gaimersheim in 1978; later in Hofheim in 1982 and the first international branch opened in Switzerland in 1987.
In the following years, DC DruckChemie’s facilities opened in France, Brandis (Germany), the Czech Republic, Benelux, UK, Austria, Brazil, Poland and Italy.
In November 2014, DC DruckChemie was acquired by Langley Holdings plc, a British-owned multidisciplinary engineering company serving a diverse range of markets worldwide.
In December 2020, DC DruckChemie had acquired printing chemicals consumables manufacturers BluePrint Products NV and HiTech Chemicals BV from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG.
In January 2023, DC DruckChemie acquires PCO Europe B.V.

In order to deliver services and goods for the benefit of our customers, we will continue to work toward close cooperation with all of our market partners.
Vision
It is our vision to make our products accessible to the entire graphics industry and to enable the production of high-quality printing. We uphold the values and tradition of the founder of DruckChemie, so that our products, services and environmentally conscious practices form a whole. We accomplish this with the help of our qualified and devoted employees.
Research and Development
DC DruckChemie is a driving force in offset printing.
At the heart of what we do, is our innovative research and development program, which has shaped us into the driving force we are today.
In cooperation with FOGRA and the world’s leading printing press manufacturers, DC DruckChemie has taken the production and supply of consumables and specialty chemicals to a higher level. Developments such as Eurostar NV, AlkoLess, AlkoGreen and DC PaperSave, increase the productivity of printers, provide greater safety, less waste and significantly improved air quality.

To help ease the burden on our environment we offer a sustainable solution to disposal and reuse.
By reusing and recycling materials we close the environmental loop. A responsible and sustainable way of working is embedded into our working culture and methods, and in doing so, we are able to offer you robust support relating to disposal methods that are environmentally friendly. In addition, we’ll always work with you to further improve how you purchase, use and dispose of our products in a sustainable manner.
Sustainable:
- We only use returnable containers and packaging
- To reduce fuel consumption, our unique Service Tour offers an integrated supply of products, services and waste management in one site visit.
- We recycle waste and used materials
Future-thinking:
- We develop and produce ecological and economical products and solutions for the printing industry (e.g. VOC-free, water-based dampening solutions and – free of aromatic compounds)
- We develop innovative, efficient and sustainable solutions to secure scarce resources (e.g. DC PaperSave reduces the number of cleaning phases during a printing job by up to 50 per cent)
Certified:
- Many of our products are examined and certified by FOGRA, ISEGA and other institutions
- Our products are listed by leading printing press manufacturers
- Besides the ISO 9001 certification, DC DruckChemie is also a certified waste disposal company
