Ammerbuch, Germany 16th April, 2021.
DC Druck Chemie GmbH (Druck Chemie) has announced the closure of its Burnley UK subsidiary. The facility is expected to close by the end of May affecting six employees with several redundancies. The closure is the result of a global review of its sales operations.
To support Druck Chemie’s loyal customer base in the UK, Druck Chemie has entered into partnership with Graphichem, an independent manufacturer of premium pressroom chemicals and hygiene products based in Cheshire, England, who will stock and supply Druck Chemie products as well as its service tour and waste disposal services.
Mirko Kern, Managing Director, DC Druck Chemie GmbH: “The UK market is very competitive and it obviously means we are forced to make difficult choices. Our focus now is on supporting our UK staff affected by the closure. I am delighted Graphichem, an established and respected manufacturer and supplier of sheetfed, heat set and flexographic products will stock our products and offer our customers the same high level of service Graphichem are renowned for”.
